ECOS
ECOS is an international NGO with a network of members and experts advocating for environmentally friendly technical standards, policies and laws. Our aim is to defend the environment at the tables where complex rules are decided. Our successes consistently impact standards and laws promoting the environment. We also work towards a more inclusive, open and transparent standardisation system, internationally and at the European and national levels, ensuring the appropriate use of standards in support of environmental legislation and policy.
In the field of environmental transparency, we support the development of relevant, comparable and reliable measurement and monitoring tools. There is a need to improve methodologies to assess, compare and reduce the environmental impacts of products, organisations and economies, at regional and global levels.
